The subject of Business Agility is another topic that we all too often see practitioners confuse. The confusion we see is with the Agile methodology, we too often hear those in the Agile community conflating Agile and Agility, the truth is that they are not the same thing. While Agile can contribute to Agility, Agility is an embedded trait or attribute characterized by durability, resilience, speed, flexibly, attunement and preparedness. It is a core competency and source of competitive advantage. Organizational agility is part of the DNA of the organization. It is not practiced or applied; it is lived each day.
In the Business Agility learning path we also delve into the Business Agility Manifesto. Among the concepts we explore from the manifesto is the idea of creating a core concept model diagram for the organization, which is a set of business concepts represented by standard terms and business definitions along with the logical connections among the concepts.
These are a few of the themes we cover in the Business Agility Learning Path.
